Hidden Nevada

Places to Visit off the Beaten Path

Turn things to do into places to go ...

Lake Tahoe and Reno

This Hidden Nevada website is a sister site to our first endeavor, HiddenCalifornia.com. In the future we will be adding Hidden Arizona, Hidden Oregon and more. We've tried to display places in these states that are off the beaten path and well worth visiting.

Las Vegas and Reno are usually what come to mind when travelers visit "The Silver State." But getting out of the big cities can be fun too. Nevada is the seventh largest state by area in the U.S. and is full of varying landscapes, from snow-capped mountains to historic desert towns that might make you think you've time-traveled back to the days of shootouts and outlaws of the wild west. Nevada has many natural wonders including waterfalls, dinosaur fossils, ghost towns and more. The best way to see Nevada is to stop in many of the small towns. Look over some of these favorites and book a room for your next adventure!

Indeed, one can appreciate the line in Thomas Gray's Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard in the 1700s - "Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, And waste its sweetness on the desert air.”
